WILLIAMSPORT – The president of King Coal Tours in Mount Carmel pleaded guilty to fraud Monday. 65-year-old Robert Else III of Elysburg was charged with wire fraud by the U.S. Attorney General’s Office in October. Else was accused of submitting false annual budgets and monthly invoices for expenses to PennDOT and the U.S. Department of Transportation related to the operation of the Lower Anthracite Transportation System. As part of a plea agreement, Else will be required to make restitution between $400,000 and $500,000. (Jennifer Wakeman) Follow
